A Life Passion of Problem Solving
Michael joined Dojo Five in March 2022 as Vice President of Engineering. He grew up in a small rural town outside of Augusta, Maine where he spent spare time working alongside his family building and tinkering with projects. This laid the foundation for one of Michael’s life passions: problem solving.
Michael took this passion and paved his career path. Excelling in math and science classes throughout high school, Michael went on to earn his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine, B.S. in Global Management from University of Phoenix, Lean Six Sigma Certification from Purdue University, and a long list of certifications from APICS and Dale Carnegie.
Michael’s professional career started with four years in the US Coast Guard where he served as an Electrician’s Mate, maintaining sophisticated electrical equipment throughout the Northeast. After his military career, Michael relocated to New Hampshire where he would eventually work on a wide variety of projects from semiconductor manufacturing to digital media advertising. He excels at uncovering unique and innovative solutions to previously thought ‘impossible’ problems.
Michael loves dissecting all aspects of business development, operations, technology, and service to identify growth opportunities, cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects both for himself and his teams. One of his favorite projects was the commercialization of synthetic sapphire for mobile devices and wearables. This project took Michael all over the World including a two-year Expatriate assignment in Shanghai.
Michael is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting, snowmobiling and paddleboarding. He loves home renovation projects including custom woodwork and has an uncanny eye for bold paint colors. Michael currently resides in Epping, New Hampshire with his partner, Katie, their four daughters, and Labrador Retriever, Huckleberry.
